Beaches close to Riviere Sands

You can find great beaches close to Riviere Sands.

Hayle Towans Beach

Hayle Towans Beach

Hayle Towans Beach - very long beach dog friendly except between certain points and times of the year. Very clear waters and with estuary at one end you get to see a few small fishing boats and various other craft come and go with the tide.great place.

Porthkidney Sands

Porthkidney Sands

Porthkidney Sands – this beach is around a mile long and at low tide the sea goes out a long way leaving a vast expanse of usually almost deserted sand. At the Lelant end the beach is backed by gentle dunes and there are several access points from the coast path. As the beaches approaches Carbis Bay the dunes rise sharply to form a steep cliff from which the view along the coast is impressive.

Carbis Bay Beach

Carbis Bay Beach

Carbis Bay Beach - one mile east of St Ives, Carbis Bay is the most sheltered of a line of sandy beaches that hug the coast all the way from St Ives to Godrevy.

Porthminster Beach

Porthminster Beach

Porthminster Beach - is the easternmost and second-largest of St Ives’ four beaches. Sheltered and sandy, with generally calm waters and excellent views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy lighthouse.

Gwithian Beach

Gwithian Beach

Gwithian Beach - Super sandy, clean lovely beach. Glorious. incredible scenery, lots of surfers and safe to swim. Love coming here. All times of year.

Porthgwidden Beach

Porthgwidden Beach

Porthgwidden Beach – located between the harbour and Porthmeor beach, Porthgwidden sits in the shelter of ‘the Island’. This gives the little beach here a rather cosy feel and makes it a bit of a suntrap. As you would expect from any beach in St Ives there is plenty of fine, golden sand here. To the back of the beach are a row of two-storey 1930s beach huts along with a little cafe and toilets. The beach is also within a matter of metres from a large carpark.

Porthmeor Beach

Porthmeor Beach

Porthmeor Cove - one of Cornwall’s most important geological destinations, the cove is a combination of sand, pebbles and rocks. A small, sheltered cove halfway between Morvah and Zennor on the South West Coast Path.

Coverack Beach

Coverack Beach

Coverack Beach – on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, next to the fishing village of Coverack. A small picturesque harbour with small boats is well worth a visit. This is quite a remote part of the Cornish coast so rarely draws too much of a crowd beyond those staying in the area and a few locals. As the tide goes out a good-sized expanse of golden-white sand is revealed. A great beach for family fun and games.
